Metro Station is a powerpop band that formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2006. They signed to Columbia/Red Ink Records and are perhaps best known for their single "Shake It" off their self-titled debut album. Popularized mainly by their co-frontman Trace Cyrus, this music act has experienced a recent boom in their record sales. In 2007 Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso were introduced by their mothers on the set of Hannah Montana, in which Mason's brother Mitchel and Trace's half sister Miley star together.
