LISTEN UP: Marky Mark It Zero

ANABlog poses a question I think all of us have wrestled with at some time in our lives: Who makes better use of the "Take a Walk on the Wildside" bass line - A Tribe Called Quest or Marky Mark? Neko Case is truly terrific, and these Rufus Wainwright / Antony and the Johnsons collaborations are definitely worth a listen. Um, also, I f*cking LOVE FOOTBALL!!! WOOO!!! (Dreams of Horses) I've never really been much of a Spoon man (either a fan of the band or an actual guy who plays spoons), but Stylus makes a pretty decent case for them. However, "I Turn My Camera On" still remains one of the most "Oh, I like this song [30 seconds pass] Alright, that's enough" songs of all time. (The Stypod) All fans of indie pop might want to check out The Blind King's "Indie Pop Song," which should join "Formed a Band" by Art Brut and "Instant Club Hit" by The Dead Milkmen as a memorable simultaneous good song / genre spoof. Download the Anything Box song while you're there, too. (Hits in the Car) And our awesomely unreadable blog entry of the day comes from La mofeta está al aire!!! Not sure what they're yelling about, but they are giving away free tracks from Sr. Sufjan Stevens and Los Prototypes, so as far as I'm concerned, La mofeta definitely está al aire!!!
